Ard Rí Hotel, Tuam, Co. Galway

The Connaught sector Annual General Meeting is coming up next and we would urge all current retained firefighters to please attempt to attend this meeting where possible. We understand that not everyone can make the general meetings in the eastern region, but now lies an opportunity to hear all about the NRFA in your area, as well as others.

The Connaught sector is made up of 4 counties: Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Roscommon. We have an excellent representation across these counties but now we ask that at least 1, if not 2, from every station attend this meeting. These meetings are the best way to 1. hear all that is going on in the NRFA and 2. to let us, and colleagues know, what is happening in your area.

How can we help you??

On the night the election of 8 officers will also take place. These include Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and P.R.O + each assistant position. If you feel you may have an interest in helping the NRFA, please come along and show your interest. We can only grow stronger with this support, and we want to hear your voice to make the NRFA’s greater.

We will also be showing the recent videos created from Alastair Purdy, our legal representative. These videos can be only viewed during meetings and we want you to see them. There is a wealth of information in these that is extremely relative to nearly all firefighters situations.

If you have any queries, please contact us here on admin@nrfa.ie and we will pass the message on to relevant parties if we cannot answer it ourselves.
